Stephen Holmes, a 31-year-old father of two from Strabane, Northern Ireland, died from injuries sustained in a severe assault on February 3. Initially hospitalized in critical condition, Holmes passed away on Saturday. The Police Service of Northern Ireland has launched a murder investigation. A 31-year-old suspect, Dylan McCrossan, had appeared in court charged with grievous bodily harm, but charges are now under review. Holmes was described as an "easy-going, gentle soul" by his sister.
