Nigerian government removes over 6,000 fraudulent ID registrations from its national database.

The Nigerian government has discovered over 6,000 people from Niger Republic fraudulently registered with National Identification Numbers (NINs) in Nigeria's database. President Bola Tinubu ordered a clean-up of the database and formed an inter-ministerial committee to ensure accurate data for social programs. The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has removed these fraudulent NINs.
