Nashville plans to install weapon detection systems in all high schools following a deadly school shooting.

Following a deadly shooting at Antioch High School, Nashville's Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) plans to expand concealed weapons detection systems, known as Evolv systems, to all high schools. The proposal, if approved by the Board of Education, would cost $1.25 million annually. Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell supports the measure but emphasizes the need for broader safety solutions.
