Manitoba expands speed display sign program to 34 communities, aided by $230,000 from Transport Canada.

Manitoba Public Insurance is expanding its speed display sign program to more communities to improve road safety. Launched in 2021, the program initially covered 13 municipalities and has since expanded to 34. The signs have monitored over 5.5 million vehicle trips, with over 190,000 drivers slowing down. Transport Canada is providing $230,000 to help MPI distribute more signs in 2025.
