Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, convicted of corruption, will wear an electronic ankle monitor for a year, marking the first time a former French president has been subjected to such a measure. Sarkozy, who served from 2007 to 2012, was convicted for attempting to influence a judge. He is also facing trial for allegedly receiving illicit campaign funding from Libya's former dictator, Muammar Gaddafi.
