LG recalls 500,000 electric ranges due to 28 reported fires caused by accidental knob activation.

LG is recalling around 500,000 electric ranges due to reports of 28 fires caused by the accidental activation of front-mounted knobs. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has received 86 reports of unintentional activation, leading to at least eight minor injuries and three pet deaths. Affected ranges were sold from 2015 to January 2025 at retailers including Best Buy, Costco, and Home Depot. LG is sending free warning stickers to customers, reminding them to use the "Lock Out" or "Control Lock" feature to prevent accidental activation.
