Edmonton school support workers end talks with board after nearly month-long strike over wages.

The union representing about 3,000 striking school support workers in Edmonton has ended negotiations with the school board. Workers, including educational assistants and cafeteria staff, have been on strike since January 13 over wage disputes. Superintendent Darrel Robertson noted the union's wage demands exceed the board's ability to pay, leaving both sides far apart in negotiations.
