Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners begins a 960 MWh battery project in Australia to boost renewable energy storage.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has started building a 960 MWh battery storage project in Australia called Summerfield. The project aims to support South Australia’s goal of reaching 100% renewable energy by 2027 by storing excess wind and solar power for peak demand times. Expected to be operational by 2027, it is part of CIP’s CI V fund, which invests in various renewable technologies globally.
