Pakistan and China sign MoUs to boost cooperation in energy, cement, and fertilizer sectors.

On February 6, 2025, Pakistan and China signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation in renewable energy, cement, and fertilizer sectors. The agreements, signed during a ceremony attended by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and other officials, include a deal to boost cement production using local coal, cooperation on renewable energy projects, and a joint venture for a coal gasification and urea production plant. These MoUs aim to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and promote mutual economic development.
