Irish students win awards for posters and photos envisioning a sustainable future for Ireland's seas.
Students from Corran College in County Sligo and schools in Louth and Meath have won awards in a competition for creating posters and photographs about their visions for Ireland's future seas. The Green-Schools Marine Spatial Planning Competition, in partnership with the Department of the Environment, Climate, and Communications, asked participants to depict how they would like Ireland's seas to be used, promoting ocean education and reducing marine litter. The competition supports the National Marine Planning Framework, aiming to balance marine usage with environmental protection.
