Ireland's national postal service raises stamp price to €1.65 to cover costs and invest in green services.

An Post, Ireland's national postal service, announced a 25 cent increase in the price of national stamps to €1.65, effective February 27 for personal customers and March 1 for business users. The increase is below the EU14+UK benchmark and aims to cover wage increases, higher operating costs, and declining letter volumes, which have dropped by 8% in the last year and 50% over the last decade. The company also plans to invest in emission-free services and remains committed to providing a high-quality postal service.
