On January 28, during a wild boar hunting trip in Palghar district, Maharashtra, India, a villager was mistakenly shot dead by his companions who mistook him for a boar. Another villager was injured, possibly dying later without authorities being informed. Six people have been detained, and a postmortem was conducted on the deceased. The police are investigating and have registered an FIR against the accused.
