The UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) is seeking more funding to improve survey response rates, which have fallen since the pandemic. ONS head, Sir Ian Diamond, says the organization needs better data sharing between government departments and an updated email directory to reach more respondents. The ONS also plans to launch a new and improved labour force survey in 2026 to address current data reliability issues. Despite budget cuts, the quality of the research remains intact.
