Firefighters in Lakewood, Colorado, rescued about two dozen people from a burning abandoned gas station that was being used as a shelter. One person was hospitalized with injuries whose severity is not yet known. The fire was put out by West Metro Fire Rescue crews early Tuesday morning, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
