Ireland reported a record 20% rise in electric vehicle (EV) sales in January, with 4,925 EVs registered, according to the Society of Irish Motor Industry. Despite this increase, Ireland is still far from its 2030 target of 945,000 electric vehicles, needing about 12,000 zero-emission vehicles sold each month. The new government plans to review EV purchase grants and other incentives to boost sales.
