Ultra-runner 'Hardest Geezer' plans 3,000km run across New Zealand, combining extreme sports with charity.

Ultra-runner Russ Cook, known as "Hardest Geezer," plans to run 3,000km across New Zealand's Te Araroa trail in March. This follows his 10,190-mile run across Africa, which raised over £1 million for charity. The New Zealand challenge will span diverse terrains, from mountains to cities, and include extreme sports like bungee jumping and skydiving. Cook will start at the South Island's southern tip and finish in Northland, raising awareness of New Zealand's bid to become a dark sky nation.
