UBS lays off over 10,000 after acquiring Credit Suisse, aiming to complete integration by 2026.
Since acquiring Credit Suisse in 2023, UBS has laid off more than 10,000 employees, reducing its global workforce to 108,648 by the end of last year. The bank aims to complete the integration by the end of 2026 at a cost of around $14 billion. UBS has already achieved $7.5 billion of its $13 billion savings target, with further savings expected from shutting down Credit Suisse's old IT systems.
