Trinidad's fuel company signs a $50.2M deal with Jamaica, supplying 450,000 barrels of fuel.
Trinidad and Tobago's Paria Fuel Trading Company has agreed to expand its fuel supply services with Jamaica's Petrojam Limited, receiving its first shipment of about 50,000 barrels.
The deal, aimed at promoting trade within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), includes a six-month contract worth up to $50.2 million for 450,000 barrels of low-sulphur fuel oil.
Trinidad's Energy Minister defended the deal, noting it secures fuel at prices below international market rates.
