Rare 3.18 million-year-old "Lucy" fossil to be displayed in Europe for the first time in Prague.

The 3.18 million-year-old remains of "Lucy," a significant human ancestor, will be displayed in Europe for the first time at Prague's National Museum starting August 25. Lucy, an Australopithecus afarensis discovered in Ethiopia in 1974, will be exhibited alongside Selam, a baby Australopithecus fossil 100,000 years older. The fossils, part of a "Human Origins and Fossils" exhibition, have rarely left Ethiopia and last toured US museums between 2007 and 2013.
