OMV Petrom reports a 4% rise in net profit to RON4.2 billion in 2024, despite lower sales.
OMV Petrom, Romania's sole oil and gas producer, reported a 4% increase in net profit to RON4.2 billion in 2024, despite an 8% drop in sales to RON35.8 billion. The profit boost was due to the removal of a tax on refined crude oil. The company, which is Romania's largest by turnover, also proposed a dividend of RON0.0444 per share, offering a 6% return based on current trading prices.
