Georgia judge acquits former prosecutor Jackie Johnson of obstructing the Ahmaud Arbery case investigation.

A Georgia judge has ordered the acquittal of former prosecutor Jackie Johnson on one of two misconduct charges related to her handling of the Ahmaud Arbery case, finding insufficient evidence that she obstructed the investigation. Johnson still faces a felony charge of violating her oath of office. Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, was chased and fatally shot by three white men in 2020, who were later convicted of murder and federal hate crimes.
