Arsenic levels above regional standards found in soil near Montrose Generating Station in Missouri.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has tested soil and water samples in Henry County near the Montrose Generating Station landfill. While public drinking water systems show no issues with lead, selenium, or arsenic, soil samples from the Davis R-XII school campus revealed arsenic levels above regional standards. Hexavalent chromium was not detected. The DNR is working with the Department of Health and Senior Services to address soil concerns. Testing continues, with updates available on their website.
