Vodacom reports Q3 revenue rise, fueled by currency and data growth, amid legal challenges.

Vodacom, Africa's largest mobile network, reported a 1.6% rise in revenue for Q3, reaching R39.5 billion, driven by a stronger South African rand and growing financial services. Despite a slight loss in group service revenue, data traffic surged 40.6%, and mobile money transactions hit $437.7 billion. The company plans to invest up to R11.2 billion in infrastructure to enhance customer experience. Vodacom also faces legal challenges over the "Please Call Me" issue, with a compensation claim of up to R9.4 billion pending.
