VAALCO Energy's FPSO in Côte d'Ivoire halts production for refit, aiming to extend operations until 2038.
VAALCO Energy is making progress on its Côte d'Ivoire FPSO Dry Dock Refurbishment Project. The FPSO Baobab Ivoirien MV10 stopped production on January 31, 2025, and will be towed to Dubai for refurbishment after crude oil is lifted around February 6. The project aims to extend production until at least 2038, subject to regulatory approvals. VAALCO has already seen a 1.8x return on its initial investment in eight months, indicating strong performance.
