Tiger Brands offers aid to listeriosis outbreak victims, linked to its plant, as a lawsuit unfolds.
Tiger Brands, a South African food company, will provide interim financial aid to victims of a 2017-2018 listeriosis outbreak that led to over 200 deaths. Though the company is not legally obligated to do so, Tiger Brands is supporting those with urgent medical needs as a class action lawsuit progresses to determine liability. The outbreak was traced to the company's plant in Polokwane.
