Mike Ekeler, leaving Tennessee, returns to Nebraska to improve their struggling special teams.

Mike Ekeler, Tennessee's special teams coordinator and outside linebacker coach, is leaving to take the same position at Nebraska. Ekeler, who spent four seasons at Tennessee, previously coached the Cornhuskers' linebackers from 2008-2010. His departure follows Ed Foley's departure from Nebraska's special teams coordinator role, where the team struggled with special teams issues last season. Ekeler's hiring aims to improve Nebraska's special teams performance.
