Liddell Power Station approved for demolition, set to transform into a clean energy hub.

The Department of Planning has approved the demolition of the Liddell Power Station near Muswellbrook, with plans to blow up its 168-meter stacks. A management plan for the project is being developed, and the site will be transformed into a clean energy hub, including industries like agriculture, clean energy, and recycling. AGL has already recycled or reused 2,646 tonnes of waste from the site, and the project is expected to create over 1,000 jobs.
