Italian WWII hero Milena Bernabo, who saved children from a Nazi massacre, dies at 96.

Milena Bernabo, 96, who received one of Italy's top civilian honors for saving three children from a Nazi massacre in Sant'Anna di Stazzema during World War II, has died. In 1944, at 16, she helped rescue Mario, Mauro, and Lina from a massacre that left 560 dead. Bernabo was awarded for her bravery in 2005, and she spent her life advocating for peace and remembering the atrocities of the past.
