The Election Commission of India has banned the conduct, publication, and publicizing of exit polls between 7 AM and 6:30 PM on February 5, during the Delhi assembly elections and by-elections in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This ban, under the Representation of the People Act, covers the 48-hour period before voting concludes. Delhi's election, a three-way contest between the BJP, Congress, and AAP, will have votes counted on February 8.
