Health workers at Providence Women's Clinics reach tentative deal, potentially ending strike.

Health workers at Providence Women's Clinics in the Portland area have reached a tentative agreement, potentially ending their strike. The deal includes a new wage scale with pay increases of 4% to 20% for nurses and 7.5% to 15% for advanced practitioners. It also offers extra pay for evening shifts, professional development funds, and protections for physician time. However, the agreement does not cover the thousands of nurses still on strike at eight Providence hospitals in Oregon. Vote on ratification will begin Monday.
