EFCC witness testifies CBN's vehicle procurement was lawful, challenges against Emefiele ongoing.
In the ongoing trial against former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele, a witness from the EFCC testified that the CBN's vehicle procurement process complied with procurement laws.
The witness, Salawu Gana, confirmed that the process involved quotations from multiple companies, with April 1616 ultimately awarded the contract after recommendations and approval from the Tenders Board.
Gana also stated that Emefiele, who is not a member of the Tenders Board, did not influence the procurement process.
Emefiele faces charges including criminal breach of trust and forgery.
His legal team has requested to limit additional witnesses, with a court ruling scheduled for March 20.
Los testigos de la EFCC testifican que la adquisición de vehículos de CBN era legal, y que las impugnaciones contra Emefiele continúan.
