Azerbaijan clears over 2,000 mines and unexploded ordnances in recently liberated areas.

In January 2025, Azerbaijan's National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) reported clearing 505 anti-personnel and 257 anti-tank mines, as well as 1,497 unexploded ordnances in liberated territories. The cleared area amounted to 3,583.8 hectares, part of ongoing efforts since April's battles. ANAMA, founded in 1998, adheres to international standards and works with international organizations to manage and clear minefields.
