New Sunlight for Children, a Vietnamese community group in Sydney, celebrated Lunar New Year (Tet) on February 1 to preserve Vietnamese traditions and raise funds for disadvantaged children in Vietnam. The event attracted many overseas Vietnamese and locals, featuring traditional decorations, food, and performances by Vietnamese-Australian children. Founded in 2015, the group has raised over A$92,000 and supported over 500 gift packages for needy children, with plans to expand their activities across Vietnam.
