Local firms won bids totaling $4.15 million for water/sewer and road projects in Columbiana County.

The Columbiana County Engineer's Office has received bids for two projects: the Elkton water/sewer extension and the Calcutta Smith Ferry Road realignment. Marucci & Gafffney Excavating Co. won the bid for the Elkton project at $2.28 million, and Rudzik Excavating won the road realignment project at $1.87 million. The Elkton project will serve Global Pak and a dozen households, while the road realignment is being done in phases.
