India's budget allocates funds to boost women entrepreneurs and city development.

In the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced several initiatives aimed at economic growth and inclusivity. A key focus is on empowering women entrepreneurs from marginalized communities with a new Rs 2 crore term loan scheme for 500,000 first-time women, SC, and ST entrepreneurs. The budget also includes an Urban Challenge Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore for city development and a Maritime Development fund of Rs 25,000 crore. Additionally, measures were announced to improve electricity distribution and manufacturing productivity.
