India plans to set up 50,000 science labs for students over five years to boost innovation.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced plans to set up 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in India over five years to foster scientific thinking among students. The initiative, part of the Atal Innovation Mission, aims to provide hands-on learning opportunities with tools like 3D printers and robotics kits. Additionally, the government will establish five national skill centers, launch a digital library for Indian language books, and enhance infrastructure at five IITs. Measures to improve nutrition are also in the works.
