Sikia, a Chicago college restaurant, reopens after pandemic closure, boosting student enrollment.

Sikia, a fine-dining restaurant at Kennedy-King College's Culinary and Hospitality Institute in Chicago's Englewood, has reopened after a five-year closure due to the pandemic. Funded by a grant from MacKenzie Scott, the restaurant offers a modern, upscale dining experience prepared by culinary students. Sikia serves a three-course lunch Tuesday through Thursday and has contributed to a 58% increase in student enrollment since 2022.
