Former IRA member Martin McCauley appears in court charged with a 1982 murder of three RUC officers.

Martin McCauley, 62, a former member of the "Colombia Three," appeared in Craigavon Magistrates' Court charged with murdering three Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) officers in a 1982 landmine attack. Forensic evidence, including DNA from cigarette butts found at the scene, links McCauley to the crime. Despite the prosecution's objections, District Judge Philip Mateer allowed bail and set McCauley's next court appearance for February 26.
