Lithuania banned over 700 Belarusians and Russians from entering due to security concerns in 2024.

Lithuania identified over 700 Belarusians and Russians as security threats last year, banning them from entering the country. Among them, 598 Belarusians and 125 Russians faced restrictions, including denied or revoked residence permits. This is a decrease from the previous year, when more than 1,700 individuals were considered threats. All Russians and Belarusians over 18 must now fill out a detailed questionnaire when applying for residence permits.
