In Arcadia, a high-speed chase ensued after 47-year-old Michael Peterson hit a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper while fleeing a welfare check scene. The chase, reaching speeds over 100 mph, ended when Peterson crashed into a power pole in Centerville. Both Peterson and the trooper suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
