Ecocem plans €50 million green cement plant in France, aiming for 70% less carbon emissions.
Ecocem, a green cement company, plans to invest €50 million in a new production facility in Dunkirk, France, set to open in 2026.
The plant will produce 300,000 tonnes of low-carbon ACT binder annually, using byproducts from steel-making and aiming for a 70% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional cement.
Funded through a green loan and grants, the project is a joint venture between Ecocem and CB Green, and supported by the French government.
