UK rents outside London drop for first time since pandemic, while London rents hit a new record.
UK rents outside London have fallen for the first time since before the pandemic, dropping 0.2% to £1,341 per month, according to Rightmove. Despite this, rents remain 4.7% higher than last year, with the slowest growth since 2021. London rents continue to rise, reaching a new record of £2,695 per month. The decrease is attributed to a higher supply of rental properties and fewer tenants moving.
