Singaporean chef Mathew Leong achieved a 6th place finish at the Bocuse d'Or culinary competition in Lyon, France, marking Singapore's best performance since 1989. Leong, executive chef at a three-Michelin-starred Norwegian restaurant, prepared dishes inspired by Singapore and Nordic flavors. The competition, known as the "Olympics of gastronomy," saw France win gold, Denmark silver, and Sweden bronze. Leong will host a pop-up in Singapore from February 19-23, offering a five-course menu.
