Penguins star Evgeni Malkin was placed on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury, sustaining the injury during a game against the Kraken. The team recalled forward Jesse Puljujarvi from the AHL to fill in. Malkin, 38, has 9 goals and 25 assists this season.
