Ontario funds 18 new HART hubs for integrated care, targeting opioid crisis and homelessness.

The Ontario government announced funding for 18 new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) hubs, including locations in Sarnia-Lambton, Sudbury, and Belleville. These hubs aim to provide integrated care for mental health and addiction issues, offering services like primary care, addiction treatment, and supportive housing. In Belleville, the Bridge hub will open in April with a $6.3 million annual funding commitment. The hubs will not include supervised consumption services. The initiative, part of a $529 million investment, seeks to address the opioid crisis and homelessness across the province.
