Oklahoma buys drone-monitoring systems to track and manage drone activity near vital infrastructure.
Oklahoma's Department of Public Safety has acquired four counter-drone systems for under $30,000 to monitor and track drone activity around critical infrastructure like refineries and power plants.
These systems can identify drones, track their flight paths, and notify law enforcement of any suspicious activity.
They will also assist in managing airspace during emergencies.
While the state cannot yet own technology to disable drones, Governor Stitt is working with federal authorities to allow such capabilities in the future.
