In 2024, Nigeria's Federal Government generated about N2.4 billion from marriage registrations through its Ministry of Interior. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this during a briefing in Abuja. The ministry also reported earning over N3.2 billion from expatriate quota applications, resulting in a 150% rise in total revenue.
