New Zealand plans to launch a national brain tumor register by 2028 to aid patients and attract drug trials.
Dr. Thomas Park, a brain researcher from New Zealand, is developing a national brain tumor register to help the approximately 2,400 people diagnosed with brain tumors annually.
Currently, no national database exists for this purpose.
With funding from the Health Research Council, Dr. Park aims to employ a part-time coordinator to gather patient information and potentially attract international drug trials to New Zealand.
The register is expected to launch by 2028.
