Mitsubishi plans to launch a new affordable electric crossover in the U.S. in 2026, aiming for half EV sales by 2030.

Mitsubishi plans to launch a new electric crossover in the U.S. in 2026, its first mass-market EV since 2009's i-MiEV. The small, affordable vehicle will be made in Japan and could boost sales, which have dropped with the discontinuation of the popular Mirage. Mitsubishi also plans to revamp its Outlander Sport with a lower price to attract buyers. The company aims to have 50% of its lineup as electric or electrified vehicles by 2030.
