Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey bans NDAs in state offices amid an audit on their misuse.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has banned the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in executive branch offices, in response to an upcoming audit report by State Auditor Diana DiZoglio. The audit, expected to reveal misuse of NDAs in state settlements, will cover 75 state agencies. Healey's new policy also strengthens recordkeeping and tracking of settlements, making them public records, while certain personal information may be redacted.
